NNLL Baseball Divisions at a Glance

 


Baseball Seniors

  • For players League Age 15-16.
  • Competitive baseball. Scores and standings are recorded.
  • Full-size field: 60 ft. mound, 90 ft. bases.
  • Two games per week.
  • Play teams within NNLL and from other leagues within the district.

 

Baseball Juniors

  • For players League Age 13-14.
  • Competitive baseball. Scores and standings are recorded.
  • Full-size field: 60 ft. mound, 90 ft. bases.
  • Two games per week.
  • Play teams within NNLL and from other leagues within the district.

 

Baseball 50/70

  • For players League Age 12-13.
  • Highly-competitive, elite baseball.  Scores and standings are recorded.
  • 50 ft. mound, 70 ft. bases.
  • 1-2 games per week.  
  • Play teams within District 6 and may travel to surrounding districts to play.
  • NNLL can allow players to play on a 50/70 team AND another team within NNLL.
  • Players are subject to assessments and the top 12 to 13 players are drafted by the appointed manager.  All players not drafted become eligible for the Junior or Majors draft.
  • The 50/70 Division is designed for the elite 12-13 year olds within the league who will compete at a high level and travel throughout the Sacramento region.

 

Baseball Majors

  • For players League Age 10-12.
  • Competitive baseball. Scores and standings are recorded.
  • 46 ft. mound, 60 ft. bases.
  • Two games per week. Rain outs may force a third game and/or doubleheader.
  • Play teams within NNLL.
  • Draft-only league: Majors managers select the top players in a draft until their rosters are full.
  • Players not drafted become eligible for the AAA draft.


Baseball AAA

  • For players League Age 8-11.
  • Combination of competitive and instructional baseball. Scores and standings are recorded.
  • 46 ft. mound, 60 ft. bases.
  • Two games per week.
  • Play teams within NNLL.
  • Draft-only league: Players not drafted to AAA become eligible for the AA draft. 
  • Managers draft 11 to 13 players, predetermined by NNLL, based on registration.
  • AAA follows Little League Minors rules, with supplemental rules adopted by NNLL.


Baseball AA

  • For players League Age 7-10.
  • Instructional baseball: introduction of kid pitch. Scores are recorded; standings are not recorded.
  • 46 ft. mound, 60 ft. bases.
  • Two games per week.
  • Play teams within NNLL.
  • Draft only league: Players not drafted to Majors or AAA become eligible for the AA draft.
  • Managers draft 11 to 13 players, predetermined by NNLL, based on registration.
  • AA follows Little League Minors rules, with supplemental rules adopted by NNLL.

 

Baseball A

  • For players League Age 6-9. Players league age 6 MUST have one year of Tee Ball experience in NNLL.
  • Instructional baseball.
  • 46 ft. mound, 60 ft bases.
  • Machine pitch only division.
  • One game per week for the first half of the season; two games per week for the second half.
  • Play teams within NNLL.
  • Blind draft league: NNLL Player Agent assigns players to team rosters.
  • Supplemental rules adopted by NNLL.

 

Rookie League

  • For players League Age 5-7.
  • Instructional baseball: designed for first-time players and second-year players who have advanced beyond Tee Ball, but not yet ready for machine pitch.
  • 50 ft. bases.
  • Coach-pitch division.
  • One game per week, on Saturdays.
  • Play teams within NNLL.
  • Blind draft league: NNLL Tee Ball VP assigns players to team rosters.
  • Supplemental rules adopted by NNLL.

 

Tee Ball

  • For players League Age 4-6.
  • Instructional baseball: designed for first-year players or players not yet ready to advance to Rookie or Minors.
  • 50 ft. bases.
  • Players hit off a tee, exclusively.
  • One game per week, on Saturdays.
  • Play teams within NNLL.
  • Blind draft league: NNLL Tee Ball VP assigns players to team rosters.
  • Supplemental rules adopted by NNLL.
